Nowadays, a stationary shop is just one of many means of sale. It is said that ‘if you are not on the internet, you do not exist’. In this case, this was exactly the case. The new owner of the company turned to us for help in launching the sale of his products online. Online shops are our daily bread. We know how to help!

What was our plan? Aim pal!

The success of an online shop depends on several factors. At the forefront of importance, however, is the User Experience, i.e. the user’s experience when using the online shop. Our UX designers analysed the product category tree and the methods by which potential customers could narrow down their search for products in the shop.

How did we manage during the design process?

We created two category trees for the client. One by product type and one by the age of the customer to make it as easy as possible to navigate the webshop. Everything was given a graphic design that is associated with natural things, including herbs, shrubs and trees.

What technologies have we used?

Classically, for a large assortment, we suggested to the client an online shop based on the Prestashop 1.7 system. It was also important to the client to automate the sales process in the shop as much as possible, so we connected the product database with the Subiekt GT storage system. As a result, our client did not have to enter products manually into the web shop, but our integration system did it for him.

Effect
of cooperation:

At the end there must be sales. The first version of the shop showed minor difficulties with customers navigating through the product categories. We therefore carried out a customer survey, which allowed us to make some improvements to the web shop that made it easier to navigate. We did not have to wait long for the results. After a short period of time, sales in the web shop, surpassed the turnover that the stationary shop was generating.
